Biography

About John

John spent more than twenty years in uniform, so he already knew the healthcare system inside and out — mostly from being on the receiving end of it. When he retired, he watched fellow veterans get handed Medicare paperwork with almost no explanation of how it fit alongside TRICARE For Life and the VA.

That's why he became an independent broker. He specializes in the exact conversation he wished someone had walked his own buddies through: how Medicare, TRICARE For Life, and VA benefits actually stack — and where most veterans have been quietly leaving money on the table.

In their own words

Why I became a Medicare Caddie

"Too many veterans get handed Medicare paperwork without anyone explaining how it works with the benefits they already earned. I wanted to be the person who slows down and walks through it with them."

My approach

How I work with clients

I sit down with all three benefits — Medicare, TRICARE For Life, VA — and walk through how they stack. No script, no rush, and no pretending a plan is the right fit if it isn't.

Who I love helping

The people I do my best work for

Retired service members and their spouses, especially anyone who's been told 'you don't need anything else' and left the room wondering if that was really the whole answer.

Favorite part of the job

What keeps me coming back

The moment a veteran realizes they've been leaving money and benefits on the table for years — and we fix it in one conversation.

Fun fact

A little about John off the clock

Twenty years in uniform means I've filled out more DD-214s and TRICARE forms than most people have signed birthday cards.

🏌️ John's Caddie's Tip

"If you have TRICARE For Life or VA benefits, don't compare Medicare Advantage plans in isolation. Look at how the plan coordinates with the coverage you already earned."
